Bowling Federation Statement – Nov. 27

BOWLING FEDERATION OF SASKATCHEWAN STATEMENT

November 27th, 2020

Due to the new restrictions to sport and recreational teams, all leagues must be suspended under the Health Order.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Business Response Team were contacted.  We received a response today and bowling centres can remain open for open play with a maximum of 30 people in a centre, bowling in groups of 8 or fewer.  Must maintain the 3 meter social distance between groups and wear masks.  Food and beverage are permitted.

During the press conference, new restrictions were announced and bowling centres were lumped in with casinos and bingo halls as having a transmission rate of 25%.

All of our bowling centres conduct Contact Tracing and there have been very few cases reported in our bowling centres.   Of those cases, there has been no notification of any transmissions.

We want to ensure the public that our industry has some of the highest Covid-19 protocols in place and your health and safety is of the utmost importance.

Please stay safe & healthy.
