Great Western Open Provincials | Day #2 Summary

The second day of team play is in the books and going into the final 4 games there are some close battles for those teams fighting for a position in the stepladder. In the Men’s division, Regina has a 5pt lead over second place North West, while Saskatoon is holding onto the third and final stepladder spot by a slim 2pts over Prince Albert.

The Ladies division is also close up top with Regina holding the lead over Saskatoon by only 4pts, Regina does have a bye remaining, while Saskatoon does not. Look for these two teams to fight it out for top spot in the stepladder.

Prince Albert’s Mixed team is still holding onto first place by 7.5pts over Saskatoon, but there is a battle for the third and final spot on the stepladder between Regina and South as they are separated by only 1pt. Prince Albert and Saskatoon play each other during the final round robin match, and that could decide who gets the coveted first seed in the stepladder.

Saturday features the final 4 games of team play and the stepladder final, which will determine our provincial champions.
